Durr Challenge Results

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Day four of the Durr Poker Challenge is now in the looks, and Tom “durrrr” Dwan has taken a slight lead over challenger Patrik Antonius.  A lead of $150,000 may seem like a lot of cash, but in a 50,000 hand match at these nosebleed stakes $150,000 is a mere couple of hands.  Yes we know that is extremely sick. But that is why we are all interested now isn’t it? They swap more money in a hand than most of us make in an entire year.

This challenge match isn’t anywhere near complete, as only about 4,000 of the 50,000 hands have been completed.  With that being said we have to now label Dwan as a clear favorite over Antonius.  Durrrr is winning more pots than Antonius through his sheer aggression and it is likely that these small pots will add up to an eventual durrr victory over Antonius.  Follow the action at Full Tilt Poker, and if you create a new account use the referral code ZZBONUS for up to $600 free and exclusive freeroll entries.

Kentucky Governor Anti Gambling Measures

Friday, February 6th, 2009

The governor of Kentucky must be getting extremely bored. Instead of fighting real crimes such as murder, rape, and robbery he is now spending his time attempting to prevent citizens from accessing certain websites. Governor Steve Beshear has pushed through a court order to have 141 different Internet domains seized from online gaming operators. I guess someone forgot to explain to him that these domains are not owned by US companies, so his little court order is merely a waste of time. He claims these companies to be “leeches on the community” and has repeatedly used moral grounds in his attempts to strong arm these companies. We didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday Steve, the real and only issue for you is protecting your own gambling interests.
